Available in both black and grey simplehuman’s swing lid bin comes in two sizes: medium (40 litre) and large (60 litre).

Instead of the flimsy wire that operates most swing bins, the simplehuman swing lid plastic bin is constructed with a wide beam and commercial grade hinge made of Delrin. Delrin is an extremely strong engineering plastic that is frequently used as a metal substitute. The Delrin hinge is engineered for a smooth, steady swing so the bin will stay balanced no matter how hard you push on the lid.

To make changing the bag quick and easy, the lid has a pair of wide, easy-to-grab handles. Simply pull the handles up to lift the lid and remove the bag. Once the lid is replaced on top of the bin, the edge extends far enough over the body of the bin to hide messy bag overhang.

One of the problems with traditional swing bins is that the underside of the lid can get dirty and is then virtually impossible to clean. The design team at simplehuman solved this problem by adding quick release buttons to the swing lid hinge. Simply press the buttons on each side of the hinge to remove the swing lid top for easy cleaning.

The swing lid bin is made of an extremely durable combination of high-grade plastics and is covered by a five year warranty.
