Most people would like to be more environmentally responsible, but it’s not always easy to recycle when you’re short on space. All the bins required to sort rubbish from recyclables take up a lot of room. At simplehuman, we’re interested in products that make it easier and more efficient to be green, and so we’ve introduced a line of recyclers that have two colour-coded inner buckets; one for recyclables and one for rubbish. The revolutionary internal and slim profile hinges of these space-efficient recyclers allow the lids to open without hitting the wall. The recyclers also boast a solid steel platform pedal for added durability and a fingerprint-proof finish that keeps the bin smudge-free.
To keep the lids from slamming shut, the design team incorporated lid shox™ technology to slow down the motion for a smooth, quiet close. The lids of the recyclers can stay open for extended chores, like sorting or emptying recyclables. The rectangular recycler also has built-in wheels and an integrated handle that make it easy to move.
The two inner buckets are made of durable, easy-to-clean polypropylene plastic. To eliminate messy bag overhang, the buckets come complete with the simplehuman bag tuck™, a perforated opening in the back of each of the buckets that allows you to easily gather and tuck away excess bin liner so that even oversized bags fit neatly.
