So many products, so little space. Such is the situation in many bathrooms where scrubs and shampoos are often fighting for limited - and often slippery - storage space along the rim of the bathtub. The new adjustable bathtub caddy from simplehuman solves the overcrowding issue and stores the items you need at tub height so they’re easy to reach when you’re soaking away the stress of a long day.
“It’s difficult to relax when you’re surrounded by clutter and chaos”, says simplehuman CEO, Frank Yang, who also acts as the company’s Design Director. “We wanted a solution that combined storage with simplicity; we didn’t want to overcomplicate things and detract from the simple solitude of taking a bath.”
The caddy is made from rustproof high-grade stainless steel and anodised aluminium and has a natural bamboo storage tray with an integrated coaster to hold a candle, glass or vase. The storage basket also serves as a book rest, so you can read in comfort without the pages getting wet, and there is even an integrated wine glass holder if you really want to relax! There is also a plastic soap dish and a wire ledge that prevents items from slipping off the shelf.
The adjustable aluminium rod reaches from 70cm to 96.5cm to fit a wide range of bathtub widths. To adjust the caddy, simply flip the tab up, extend the rod to the desired width, and flip the tab down to lock in place. Rubberised side grips attach securely to the sides of the bathtub so the caddy won’t slip. The soft rubber on the grips prevents slipping and ensures that porcelain or tile won’t get scratched.
All parts are designed to be rust, corrosion and mildew resistant and the caddy comes with a 5 year warranty.
