pedal power: introducing the simplehuman® pedal laundry hamper

“Doing the laundry can be heavy work,” says simplehuman UK Commercial Director Kevin Clark. “We thought it was about time laundry hampers came with a removable inner basket with wheels and a handle, so you can just roll your clothes directly from the hamper to the washing machine.”
Simply pull the magnetic latch to open the side of the hamper and access the inner basket. The basket has an integrated handle that flips up and locks in place, much like a suitcase with wheels, so you can easily roll your laundry to the machine instead of having to carry anything. The basket is made of durable, easy-to-clean, polypropylene plastic.
The exterior of the hamper is constructed from brushed stainless steel and has ventilation holes on the sides that allow air to circulate around your laundry, and stop it getting dank and smelly.
The hamper lid lets you cover your laundry, but is easy to open with its steel accented platform pedal. To keep the lid from slamming shut, the design team incorporated simplehuman’s lid shox™ technology to slow down the motion for a smooth, quiet close.
